The Garifuna is a national minority living in central america and the USA. They emerged from a mixture of black slaves of West African origin with indigenous Caribbeans. After their liberation from slavery the africans settled down always close to the ocean and live there since then. You can observe an interesting mixture of African, Hondurenian and Western in uences. Football seems to connect all of these cultures where the citizens, as from indeginous hondurenian backround as the garifuna unite to play together. It is a dayly evening event happening mostly at the beach where many people come by to watch it.
